Morgan and Lehman Brothers. Over her 10-year career span within the financial industry and investment management arena, Bettina has led core business development strategies to build and manage circa US$300 million of AUA (Assets Under Advisement), while generating consistent outperformance-returns for her clientele base by utilizing her in-depth portfolio risk management and seasoned tactical asset allocation expertise.
As a Massachusetts Institute of Technology [MIT] graduate double-majoring in Mathematics and Management Science, with a concentration in Finance, she is the MIT Hong Kong Alumni Club Director of Development & Fundraising, responsible for Sponsorship Lead & Treasury activities and also leads the Inter-University Alumni Events as Co-Chair of the Ivy League University Ball Committee. She has also participated in promoting and leading Technology initiatives via the roles of MIT EmTech Alumni Liaisons and TEDx Sponsorship & Budget Committee Lead.

Ms. Chan is a seasoned Private Tutor with over 22 years of experience in Private Education for people from all age-groups [Kindergarten/Primary/Secondary School children of 3-17 years of age and adults/seniors of 25-85 years of age] and diverse backgrounds [students, white-collar working-class professionals, businessmen, retirees, etc.]. She has spent the majority of her latter retirement career in academia, predominantly teaching Chinese & Mandarin as the main academic subject to her multitudinous group of students of all ages and backgrounds, as well as Primary School level Mathematics to Primary School children. In terms of cultural background, Ms. Chan’s junior student group originate from all nationalities, primarily being children of all age-groups from some of the most prestigious International Schools in Hong Kong, being the likes of English Schools Foundation [E.S.F], Lycée Français International “Victor Segalen” [F.I.S.], Chinese International School [C.I.S.], German Swiss International School [G.S.I.S.], Singapore International School [S.I.S.], Australian International School [A.I.S.], etc. With extensive experience in tutoring Secondary School syllabuses and course material for Chinese & Mandarin for all major internationally recognized certificate examinations [G.C.S.E / I.G.C.S.E, I.B., SAT II], Ms. Chan has been chiefly responsible for providing the propitious foundations that assist her academic students in achieving some of the highest public examination scores in G.C.S.E / I.G.C.S.E [A / A*].
Prior to beginning her retirement career in academia, Ms. Chan served in the professional role of Airline Stewardship for British Overseas Airways Corporation [B.O.A.C.] in the early 1970-80’s for the maximum service-tenor of 10 years. Individually, Ms. Chan has also been an astute and passionate independent investor in Equities, Option Derivatives and Real-Estate over her decades of personal experience in the markets. A true cosmopolite and globetrotter in every sense, she has traveled the face of this planet across the myriad destinations whilst becoming a student of life to the plethora of cultures and wealth of knowledge that imbue both our modern and archaic society.
